Warmer Kiwi Homes
Warmer Kiwi Homes, is a four year Government insulation and heating programme targeted at low-income owner-occupiers. It started on 1st July, 2018.
CEA are proud to offer our services under the Warmer Kiwi Homes programme and have been working in the Canterbury region for nearly 25 years.
The new programme does not include financial support for landlords. We strongly advise any landlords who have still got to insulate their property to contact us to find out more.
If affordability is an issue, CEA may be able to organise other financial assistance including interest free payment plans over a number of months, to help. Criteria apply.
In May 2019, subsidies under the programme were extended to 90% and CEA tops this up to 100%. This means that for eligible homeowners insulation is free. Eligibility criteria:
- The home must be owner-occupied – i.e. it can’t be a rental property AND
- The home must be built before 2008
- The homeowner must have a Community Services Card or a Super Gold combo card OR
- The home is located in an area identified as lower-income - contact us to find out if your address qualifies.
Where the above subsidies do not apply please contact us, as we may have other discounts and funding you may be eligible for.
